PRIVACY FROM THE START
Your journey
belongs to you.
We want to be clear about what stays on your device and which features connect to an external service.
Last updated: 1 November 2026 · iOS beta and current Android development build
Why is location needed?
During an active journey, your phone’s location services calculate the distance to your destination and trigger the alarm. Background location permission is needed while your phone is locked or the app is in the background. Tracking stops when the journey ends or you stop it.
The current app has no Durak HTTP server configured for uploading location data. The background location plugin’s local location-history recording is disabled. Your destination and alarm state are stored on the device so the active alarm can resume.
Information stored on your device
- Saved journey names, chosen lines and stops, destination coordinates and alarm distances.
- The active journey’s destination and the state of alerts already triggered.
- Theme, alarm tone, sound, vibration and onboarding preferences.
- Downloaded transit data and update information.
The app does not ask you to create a Durak account. You can delete saved journeys in the app. Stopping an active journey clears its active alarm record. Removing the app deletes its data subject to your device’s operating-system and backup settings.
Which features connect to the internet?
Address search: Your address query is processed by your device’s iOS/Android geocoding service. A reverse-geocoding request may also be used to obtain a name from coordinates. These services are subject to their providers’ terms.
Transit data: Initial downloads, updates and Ankara EGO bus stop sequences connect to the relevant municipality or operator’s websites. These requests do not upload Durak location history to those sites.
TestFlight: The iOS beta is distributed through Apple TestFlight. Beta participation, diagnostics and test feedback are subject to Apple’s terms and privacy practices.
This website
This site has no advertising, analytics or location-tracking scripts. The alarm preview runs only in your browser; it does not access GPS or play sound. Fonts and logos are served from this site’s own files.
The hosting provider may process technical records, such as IP address and request time, under its own terms to deliver the site and secure access. Private previews may use the hosting provider’s sign-in mechanism.
Your language choice is saved in your browser’s local storage. It is used only to open the site in your chosen language and contains no location or tracking data.
You can manage permissions.
You can change location and notification permissions in your phone’s settings at any time. Turning them off may prevent the alarm from working; Durak cannot re-enable them on your behalf.
